Hagley Museum and Library is pleased to announce the creation of a new position that will be responsible for developing a brand new menu of educational programs specifically designed for youth and families.  This is an entry level position that will be responsible for creating and managing youth and family programming on and off the site; managing a well-established youth leadership program for middle and high school students, and introducing STEM education and programming into existing history-based public programs at Hagley.  We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience or enthusiasm for merging history and science topics together with an emphasis on innovation and invention.  In addition, this position will support all activities produced by the Interpretation and Visitor Services Department and will have the opportunity to participate in the planning and implementation of special event programming and adult programming.  This position will have supervisory responsibilities of part-time youth mentors and will be expected to work closely with youth and adult volunteers.  Degree in science education, history education, museum studies or a related field plus two-years museum education experience required.  The work week for this position will generally be Tuesday-Saturday with occasional Sundays and evenings.  This position is full time with benefits.  For full position description, requirements and application process visit www.hagley.org/employment.html.
